Drums!

Jackson is really into drums right now. He loves to play along with his "drum" (a pot) and "drumsticks" (chopsticks) to videos of drum solos Mama and Daddy find on Youtube.

He was really enthralled by the Aboriginal drumming and percussion workshop at the recent Black Harmony Festival.


Finally, he loved seeing children drumming at the Easter Festival on Churchill Island during our Phillip Island Trip.

Phillip Island/Easter

We had a great Easter long weekend! We went down to Phillip Island, and stayed at a hotel by the beach. Jackson helped Mama and Daddy carry our bags upstairs.

We had fish and chips on the beach.

Jackson had a captive audience with the seagulls thanks to throwing them all his chips and leftover fish!

The next morning we went to the Koala Conservation Centre, where we also saw a wallaby!

Then we went to A'Maze'N Things, a neat amusement park full of weird illusions and mazes. Jackson loved the House of Mirrors.

On Sunday morning, Jackson woke up with a cold, but he was still happy to get up and see what the Easter bunny had left.

We went to Churchill Island, where there was an Easter egg hunt, working farm horses, and...DRUMS (more about those in another post!).
